Most members spend $100–$200 per release. Clear spirits only can meet the $100 floor. The $100 joining fee is separate and non-refundable.

Before you join
How much does it cost to join The Alpine Club?
There is a one-time, non-refundable joining fee of $100. Following this, members are required to purchase 3 bottles on the member-exclusive portal every April and October to keep their membership.
How often are Alpine Club releases?
Just two releases each year, in April and October. Each is three member-selected 750ml bottles. Each member is responsible for purchasing during these two release periods and selecting the bottles they would like.
How much do the bi-annual releases cost?
Pricing varies depending on the bottle selection. Typically, members can expect to spend a minimum of $100 on each release if purchasing clear spirits only. Most members selecting from a variety of spirits will spend between $100–$200 during each of the two annual releases.
Is it a whiskey only club?
No. Members curate their own release. A majority enjoy the whiskey offerings, but the selection includes clear spirits and seasonal releases. Each release is tailored by the member.
Do you offer shipping?
Currently, the law allows shipping within California only. This is a temporary measure and is subject to change by state law — Hinterhaus offers no guarantee that shipping will be available in future. All other orders must be picked up at the distillery.
How do I purchase bi-annual releases?
For data security, Hinterhaus does not keep payment details. During each release period in April and October, members log in to the membership portal, make selections, and purchase with a method of their choice.
Do I receive discounts?
Members receive 15% off every bottle purchased during the bi-annual releases, as well as bottle purchases made at the distillery and throughout the year on the member portal. Members also receive 15% off tastings and cocktails when visiting the distillery.
How do I pick up releases?
Pick up April and October releases at the distillery during regular hours: Thursday–Saturday 12–6 and Sunday 12–5. Members are asked to pick up within 90 days, or select shipping if they cannot. With written notice, a designated person 21 or older may pick up on a member’s behalf.
Who can use my member benefits?
Only the club member and their listed spouse or partner. When registering, you may add a spouse or partner. Only club members can use the discount at the distillery, and only club members have portal access.
What if I miss a release period?
Hinterhaus makes every effort to reach members who have not made the required April or October purchase. Members who do not purchase within the month are subject to cancellation.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time, without penalty after the joining fee. The $100 joining fee is non-refundable. Because payment details are not stored, you will not receive further charges.
